Man Utd 'protest' FW says he 'planned his return' in advance with ex-teammates

Reports have emerged that Jadon Sancho has been preparing to leave Manchester United as early as last July.

"Sancho gave an interview to Dortmund in which he revealed his decision to leave the club," the British publication SportsBible reported on July 23 (ET).

Sancho joined United from Dortmund ahead of the 2021-2022 season. At the time, Sancho's transfer fee was a whopping 85 million euros (about $120 billion), indicating that United had high hopes for him.

However, Sancho became a completely different player at United. In his two seasons at United, he has struggled, scoring just 12 goals and providing six assists in 79 appearances. Frequent injuries, ups and downs in form, and more recently, a falling out with manager Eric ten Bosch, have kept him out of the first-team plans.

After publicly defying the coach and causing a "mutiny," Sancho was immediately banished from the first-team training ground. After being banned from training, he was also banned from first-team matches, and when he refused to keep his head down, the club upped the ante by banning him from using first-team facilities, but the relationship didn't improve. He eventually left United in the winter transfer window, joining Dortmund.

Since joining Dortmund, Sancho has shown promise in his return to the club, along with his attacking prowess. In light of this, an interview recently surfaced suggesting that Sancho may have been thinking about leaving United as early as last summer.

"Sancho admitted in an interview with Dortmund that he spoke to Marco Reus about returning to the club during a friendly between Dortmund and United last July," SportsBible reported.

Sancho said: "Royce came up to me at the time and told me to come back to Dortmund. It was a gesture and he said, 'Brother, if you are ready, we are here'. I always 카지노사이트 had Dortmund in my heart too. It's nice to know that Dortmund and my old teammates support me," he said, explaining that he had been thinking about Dortmund since the summer.

Since leaving United for Dortmund, Sancho has consistently expressed his happiness and sidestepped any complaints about his former club.

"When I walked into the locker room, I felt like I had come home," he said in his joining interview, and even after his first game back, he made no secret of his unhappiness at United, saying, "My goal is to be happy again."
