Rooney watched United's downfall..."They lost to Liverpool and danced to the music"

"I tried to control as much as I could."

"Wayne Rooney, 39, has recalled the downfall of Manchester United," the UK's Daily Star reported on April 24.

Under former manager Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United was a "colossus" that dominated Europe beyond the English stage. Since Ferguson's retirement, the team has been managed by David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ralf Rangnick, and Eric ten Haag, but has never won a league title.

This season, United are still in sixth place in the league with 44 points (W14 D2 L9).

In a recent interview, Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney reminisced about the end of his glory days at the club. "Rooney shared a locker room with some of the best players in the world, growing up through the glory years with Roy Keane, Ryan Giggs, and Paul Scholes, and later forming a new leadership group with Rio Ferdinand and Michael Carrick," the publication noted.

"As the elite, experienced players left the dressing room one by one, Rooney, now 38, watched over a new generation of United players. Rooney reflected on the moment in 2014 when United lost 0-3 to rivals Liverpool."

"United were losing the core of the team," Rooney says. Giggs, Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic were in their final seasons with the club. "We were losing big 토토 names in the dressing room, and as a result, Carrick and I were the only members of our generation left," he said.

"Later on, players like Jesse Lingard, Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley were coming through, but they weren't the core group of our generation," he recalls.

"Football was changing, the behavior of players, the environment around football was changing. "I remember the day after the Liverpool defeat, I saw the players in the dressing room dancing to hip-hop music in the locker room," he says.

"I tried to confiscate their speakers in the locker room," Rooney said. I tried to control as much as I could, but in reality I couldn't," Rooney added.

"Lingard has moved to professional soccer team FC Seoul after eight months of unbeaten form," the media reported.
