How is the Andaman Nicobar food experience different from mainland India?

Andaman Nicobar food has the infusion of local and Southeast Asian flavors. The food is based on the strong focus on fresh seafood, coconuts, bananas, and domestic spices. You will meet the foods as fish kulcha, grilled squid and coconut crab which don’t appear in the menus of the mainlands. Food also tends to be more light with tropical flavors serving tasty cleansing flavors in tropical weather. Small restaurants and street food vendors add to the experience as these allow you to meet the locals and experience a culture of local island food that you do not have access to with major tourist food spots.
