Williams & Fudge won't stop calling? Here's what worked for me after months of stress.

I wanted to share this because I wish I had known it months ago. I've been dealing with constant harassment from Williams & Fudge over a student loan from years ago. They were calling relentlessly, sometimes before 8 AM, and the calls felt really intimidating. I was scared to even answer.

After doing some digging, I found out they have a history of lawsuits I had no idea about. There's a recent one from 2025 where they were sued for improperly disclosing someone's private student loan information to a third party, which is a huge no-no. Another lawsuit mentioned they used deceptive language about fees in their collection letters. That got my attention.

What finally helped me regain control was sending a formal dispute letter via certified mail demanding they prove the debt was actually mine and that they had the right to collect it. I specifically asked for a copy of the original signed promissory note. I also started logging every single call. Once I sent that letter, the calls stopped completely while they "investigate," which gave me massive relief.

If they are calling your job after you told them not to, or using robocalls, that's also against the law. You have more power than you think. This guide laid out exactly what to do:

Don't let them intimidate you. Make them follow the rules.
